Saint Patrick's Cathedral Vaulted Ceiling, NYC

Midtown Manhattan is mostly comprised of modern skyscrapers and high-rise buildings. But at its heart, Saint Patrick's Cathedral is a masterpiece of Neo-Gothic architecture located on Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets. The cathedral is an impressive and beautiful edifice. Completed in 1879, it is 174 feet wide at the transepts, 332 feet long, and the spires rises at 330 feet (100 meters) from street level.

This Black & White photograph showcases the ribbed vaults of the ceiling over the large nave and the cathedral's supporting columns, as well as the Gallery Organ.
