Brooklyn Bridge & Lower Manhattan - Black & White - Print

The Process:

I have always printed my photographs myself. Labs never gave me the flexibility that I needed to obtain the best results possible. (Maybe I was too much of a perfectionist to be happy with the process!).

Printing has always been a challenging processes primarily due to the quality of available inks and papers. With the new line of printers by Epson and other manufacturers, excellent printing results are now possible.

I have chosen Epson printers and Ultrachrome HDR inks for my photos. This combination provides a large gamut and longevity (lightfastness). Most of my work is printed on either Epson Luster paper or Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique paper to provide the deepest blacks possible while maintaining smooth color gradations.

Henry Wilhelm (, a specialist in print permanence ratings, assigns 165 years before noticeable fading occurs for color prints on Epson Luster, under UV glass, and more than 200 years for Black and White prints.

I typically leave a border of one inch or more around the print for mounting.

Print Certificate Sample - Francois Roux Photography

  • Each print includes a signed certificate of authenticity. The certificate includes the name of the photograph and the printing date. You may wish to attach the certificate to the back of the frame.
  • After receipt of an order, please allow 5-7 days before shipping. This time is necessary for curing the print(s).
  • Prints are sent in tubes, separated by an unbuffered interleaving tissue sheet.
  • There is a 30-day money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with your purchase. You may exchange your undamaged print, receive a credit, or a refund.

In the event that damage has occurred to your order, I will make every effort to replace it. To return a damaged print, please retain the original shipping material/tube. I would suggest placing any damaged mailing tube and its contents within another tube for return shipping.

If you wish to return or exchange an undamaged print, notification of your intention to return an item must be received via email or telephone prior to return shipping. The buyer is responsible for return shipping and insurance costs. Any returned materials sent without prior notification will not be accepted. Returns should be insured; shipping should be able to be tracked by the chosen shipping company.
