Tribute in Light New York September 2013

Tribute in light, September 11, 2013. New York City

Capturing this very special moment when the two beams of light appear in the sky from Lower Manhattan (Financial District) was essential for me. It is an intense and humble moment, where remembering becomes so meaningful.

I dearly miss the World Trade Center's twin towers, but cannot help thinking about this beacon of light as a symbol of resilience, hope, courage and determination.
That particular day of September 11, 2013, the clouds were heading south and enhanced the contrast between the city lights and the deep blue color of the sky at dusk.

In this panoramic photograph, you can recognize some iconic NYC buildings such as the American International Building, 70 Pine Street, One World Trade Center, Woolworth Building and of course the majestic Brooklyn Bridge with Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
